Each day beginning Friday, October 13th, we will emphasize one of the six pillars by
wearing the color of that pillar, writing about a child or other person who exhibits that
characteristic on special forms to be provided, pinning those to the appropriate pillar on
the hall bulletin board, and concentrating on that characteristic!

Write letters of appreciation to people who have been "caring" to us. Sierra
Middle School will be here to sell Character Counts ribbons for 25 cents at noon recess.
Caryn Doyal on KBIM TV! SHOW good citizenship by picking up litter, helping a neighbor,
etc. Mrs. Reyes, our Teacher of the Year, will speak to classes about how she became a
naturalized US citizen, and what it means to her.
Friday, Oct. 20 - Trustworthiness - wear blue - Monterrey T-shirt Day! -
Stephanie Doyal on KBIM TV! ALL students and staff will participate in walking time from
10:10-10:20, making a "chain of Character" around our walking area. Media
will be invited.
