Hello,
After coming up with this site, accidently, I discovered some names out of the past. This led me to break out the annuals of 64 & 65( I went into the service in lieu of my senior year ). I always enjoyed my years in Roswell, but only went back once in 89... to show my wife and 3 mo. old daughter where my roots were. could not find any! Greers was gone... Wylies was gone... even went to the Chew Den... BIG CHANGE!
Stayed at the Ramada Inn on Main st.( next to NMMI ),It was a dump!! (When I was living there, it was brand new. I was so depressed and saddened that we left the next morn before sunrise, so I would not see the town again. I probably did not give it enough time.
I just kept saying "Warren, You cannot go back"
Anyway, after reading some of the posts, I realized that there were a lot of good people that came from Roswell, and I sure would like to see how they(you)
are. Names like: Bill Martin,Marvine & Marlyne Sartin, bunny Hillman,Paish Auer,Ray Baker, Steve Boyer, Kieth Burke, Les Cox, Pam Dennis, Dusty Huckabee, Chuck Parha
Ray Dunbar, Doris Flood, Jack Fox, Lynn Harris, Lowell Smith, Linda Sparkman, Barby Mitchell, Linda White, I think I will stop now. Starting to ramble.
My life moved to California and I have been here since. I lived in Riverside(Glenn Dietz, Jeff and Lana Cox and other Walker AFB people transferred to MarchAFB when Walker closed.Ran into Bunny Hillman there too! Moved to Newport Beach for 13 yrs. and then moved to Napa, Ca where I have been since. I have a wonderful wife and three children, 12,8 and 7. I started late.
I hope this post finds all of you in good health, we are fifty, you know! If anyone feels the urge to respond, feel free. If anyone knows the where abouts of some of the people I mentioned, I would like to hear about or from them
Regards
Warren Monroe
