Start Times:
Time Trial: First Rider Starts at 10:00 AM sharp. Riders will
start at one minute intervals in the following order
Woman 4, women 1-2--3, Men 5,
Men 3-4, Men Pro-1-2
Criterium: First Race Starts at 4:00 PM races proceed in the
following order:
Women 4: 4:00PM; Men 5: 4:25PM,
Men 3 & 4: 5:00PM, Women 1, 2, & 3: 5:45PM Men Pro, 1, 2, & 3: 6:30PM
Road Race: The first race will start at 8 AM. others will start
at 5 minute intervals in the following order.
Men Pro, 1, 2, & 3: 8:00AM, Men 4 & 5: 8:05AM,
Women 1, 2 & 3: 8:10AM, Women 4: 8:15AM
Race Locations:
Time Trial: River Road at E 2nd St. Take E. 2nd to the East end of the Pecos River bridge (About 7 Mi.). See Map A.
Criterium: The Parking lot at the Wool Bowl located on Grand Ave. between College & 19th St. See Map B.
Road Race: The starting line is at the Roswell Mall at Pine Lodge Rd. & N. Main St. All races will finish at Pine Lodge & Brown Rd. (4 Mi. West on Pine Lodge Rd.) See Map C.
Categories & Distances:
Time Trial: this is a 20 Km. (12.4 Mi.) out and back race for all categories.
Criterium: W omen 4: 10 Min., Men 5: 20 Min., Men 3 & 4: 30 Min., Women 1,2 & 3: 30 Min., Men Pro, 1, 2, & 3: 45min.
Road Race: Men Pro, 1, 2, & 3: 150 Km. (93.3 Mi.) Men 4 & 5: 100 Km. (62.2 Mi.) Women 1, 2, & 3: 75 Km. (46.5 Mi.) Women 4: 50 Km. (31.1 Mi.)
Entry Fees:
Time Trial*: $15.00 before July 1, $20.00 on day of race.
Criterium*:
Women 4: $15.00 before July 1, $20.00 on day of race.
Men 5: $15.00 before July 1, $20.00 on day of race.
Men 3. & 4: $25.00 before July 1, $30.00 on day of race.
Women 1,2, & 3: $25.00 before July 1, $30.00 on day of race.
Men Pro, 1, 2, & 3: $25.00 before July 1. $30.00 on day of race.
Road Race*:
Women 4 & Men 4-5: $15.00 before July 1, $20.00 on day of race.

*NOTE: UNLICENSED RIDERS MUST BUY A ONE DAY LICENSE FOR $3.00 FOR EACH DAY OF RACING AND WILL RACE AS CATEGORY 5 MEN OR CATEGORY 4 WOMEN. ALL FEES INCLUDE THE USCF INSURANCE FEE & NMBRA FEE.

General Information:
Send entries and make checks payable to Habitat For Humanity of Roswell P. O . Box 254, Roswell NM 88201. Due to the UFO days events accommodations will be limited, so make arrangements A.S.A.P. call the Roswell Chamber of Commerce at 1-505-623-5695 for more information about accommodations in the area.
The road conditions on Pine Lodge Rd. are Fair to good with little traffic, but this will be an open road race so the center line rule will be strictly enforced. The first two (2) miles will be Neutral and escorted by the Police. All road races will finish at the intersection of Pine Lodge Rd. and Brown Rd. The Criterium will be closed to traffic and cleaned before the races. The Time Trial course will be on an open road so care is needed at the turnaround (it will be monitored). There are three cattle-guards on the course which will be covered with plywood but care is still advised. River Road is a twisting road with only moderate traffic and mostly good roadway ; other then the cattle-guards the only concern will be cows which sometimes wonder onto the road. The last ½ Mi. before the turnaround is on the Bottomless Lakes road and contains the only real hill on the course.
