CITY OF ROSWELL
SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT 624-6746
DIRECTOR: ANDY SEDILLO

CITY OF ROSWELL SANITATION DEPARTMENT
DEPARTMENT HEAD: ANDY SEDILLO
SUPERVISOR: TOM RICO

The current residential rate for twice weekly refuse collection is $10.25 per month.   A 300 gallon container is centrally located in the alley for up to four (4) households. Residents not having alleys are provided ninety (90) gallon roll-outs that they can place at the street curb on collection days. Ninety (90) gallon roll-outs should be removed from the curb after they have been serviced. All waste needs to be bagged to prevent litter. Flammables, liquids, construction debris, large items, and dirt should not be placed in the containers.

Large items, bulky waste, furniture, white goods, and limbs need to be placed behind your own property for collection. Do not put these items around the refuse container or next to utility connections, especially not on top of gas meters or low power lines.

Two (2) grapple trucks start on the north side of town and work south. One truck picks up on the eastside of Main St. and the other the westside. It takes approximately one (1) month for the grapple trucks to service the City. Large loads using 3/4 of the trucks are charge $96.60 plus tax. The grapple trucks pickup white goods, furniture, limbs, light construction debris, and also empty the recycling igloos twice a week and haul the material to the recycling facility.

Rates for commercial accounts vary according to the number of containers needed and how often they have to be serviced. Containers available for service are 90 gallon plastic roll-outs, 300 gallon plastic container, and three (3) cubic yard metal dumpsters. The 90 and 300 gallon containers are only serviced twice a week. The three (3) cubic yard dumpster is serviced up to six days per week and can be serviced more than once per day as needed.
