FUEL -TO-AIR MIXTURE
Once a fuel has been converted into a gaseous state, it must mix with an oxidizer to burn. The usual oxidizer is the oxygen in the air. The mixture of fuel vapor and the oxidizer must be within the flammable limits for that fuel. That is, there must be enough but not too much fuel vapor for the amount of oxidizer.
